UW-MADISON BAND BACK IN SHEBOYGAN

The UW-Madison Band is coming back to Sheboygan.

The performance on April 4 at Urban Middle School will be a fundraiser for the city’s Mayor’s International Committee.

Mayor Mike Vandersteen says those who come will see the band just before their biggest annual concert in Madison.

“So people are going to get a real feeling of what that’s concert in Madison is like as they prepare for that.”

Tickets for the concert are available at Festival Foods in Sheboygan and online at sheboyganwi.gov.

“Our Mayor’s International Committee is having a fundraiser, and they’re bringing the UW Band back again. The Badger Band last appeared two years ago; and their appearance this time is set for April 4, it’s going to be at Urban Middle School auditorium. Tickets are available at Festival Foods; they’re $16.50 plus fees. And they’re also available on the city website; they’ll be a banner ad in the front, and just click on it and it will take you to that page.”

“This is a lead up to their big concert in Madison, so people are going to get a real feeling of what that’s concert in Madison is like as they prepare for that.”

12 members of the band are students from the Sheboygan area.

Proceeds will benefit the committee, which help to fund Sheboygan’s Sister City Program and Student Sister City Exchanges.
